Divers show top results during the Russian Cup  
Two more sets of medal got their winners at the Russian diving Cup in Penza. During the second day of the competition the best 3 m springboard synchro divers among men and best platform among women were decided.

Several athletes from the Penza region qualified for the 3 m springboard synchro final. The pair from Penza Sergey Morozov-Igor Myalin reached the final with the 7th result. The pair of Igor Karyakin from Penza and Artem Ermolaev from Voronezh in the prelims showed the second result. And Evgeniy Kuznetsov with Ilya Zakharov from the Penza region became the best pair of divers in the prelims.

Beginning with the first dives Kuznetsov and Zakharov took the lead in the finals. They retained the leadership in every following series without any serious breaks. As the result – a well-deserved win in this type of competitions. The runner-ups Alexandr Kandrashin and Mikhail Maiorov lost by 35 rates. Koryakin and Ermolaev finished the 3rd.

It was hard to imagine that Perunina Tatyana from Penza would not win any medal in platform synchro.  The women platform, both individual and synchro, is considered as the problem in Russia. In fact, in synchro the competition is held between 2 pairs. The main competitors of Perunina and Olga Vintonyak are the silver medalists of the Athens Olympic Games Julia Koltunova and Natalia Goncharova. Only 4 pairs were registered in this competition so it was obvious that Perunina will leave without a medal. The leadership was taken by Koltunova and Goncharova from the 2nd dive and it remained the same by the end of the competition. Perununa left behind by 19 rates. The gap between these 2 pairs and the rest ones is revealed by about 100 rates.
